Do we really want old school difficulty?

"We often reminisce here about the yesteryears of Nintendo and gaming in general. There are many things we'd like to see come back into gaming in this generation from a greater increase in secrets and unlockables to the return of "old school challenge." When we begin to think of the latter however, we can't help but wonder: Do we really want harder games?"
