The PlayStation 3 was the best-selling console in September, its first time on top of the hardware charts since November 2006, says EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich, ahead of the month's NPD results.

This game had better sell. It had better do some serious bank for Double Fine, because goddamned if Tim Schafer and his team haven't poured so much creativity and originality into Brütal Legend. In simple terms รข€" during an age of bland, recycled games, music and film, something like Brütal Legend is a rarity: a project borne of fan-devotion, coupled with talent to take a really complex idea and refine it into something very special.
